You know you are doing something right when three people contact you about the same job - the owner, the roofer and the air con guy. When Pascoes was having problems with a leaking roof at 29 Union St, they needed to fix it - and quickly. Years of tradesmen servicing condenser units along with rotting timber mounts causing erosion meant that the roof urgently needed replacing. Having done some work for the owner on other properties, they contacted us about providing access.
At the same time, Edmond Air and Kiwi Roofing called to say we needed to look at the job. With tenants in the building, any work needed to be done quickly and efficiently.
As always, Monkey Toe’s staff were up for the challenge. The roof was worked on in sections. Heavy condenser units were lifted off, a section of the roof replaced, new platforms or mounts installed, and the condenser units re-installed. One large bank of units required a 10 x 3.4m platform.
A network of walkways was installed to ensure access to all the units so there would be no further damage to the new roof and no one would put a foot wrong.
