Newfield Roofing approached Monkeytoe to help them upgrade roof access to the large Bunnings store at Tower Junction in Riccarton. The owner, Ngāi Tahu Property Development Group, stipulated they wanted the Monkeytoe aluminium walkways on their property.

The initial project was to install aluminium walkways to provide safe access to plant without damaging the roof. A second part of the project was to provide access to a large new roof expanse with a centrally draining gutter. This was part of the plant nursery extension and required special attention, as anything obstructing flow and creating a backlog could cause damage to the building.

We developed a traffickable gutter guard, which not only provided easy access to all drainage points and rain heads for inspection but also helped to keep out debris and blockages from snow and ice. We also installed handrails to protect staff from stepping onto roof skylights.
