What is the stair sound-dampening treatment?
- 1.3 mm thick Viscoelastic material with aluminum layer on the inner surface and a high performance acrylic to bond to the stair structure (2.5 kg/m2).
- A constrained layer, visco-elastic dampening material that reduces structural vibration and sound transmission in lightweight materials. When applied to the back and underside of the stair treads and risers, it removes the resonant stair noise generated
by foot traffic. - Allows the use of lightweight stairs in noise sensitive environments, based on international testing.
