HOW IT IS USED

HOW IT WORKS

The 3M Davit Arm is used where there is a need to project an abseil rope out over the edge of a building without impacting the facade, parapet, or possibly a glass balustrade. Davits are permanently fixed in place during construction, and the davit arm is moved into position when required.

Maintenance

As per AS/NZS 1891.4, the Monkeytoe PSD Davit Arm must be certified every 12 months by a qualified height safety equipment inspector. After 5 years of use, it is recommended that periodic inspections be carried out by the manufacturer of the equipment or an entity authorised by the manufacturer to carry out such inspections. All the exposed materials in the system have been specified as naturally corrosion-resistant or have been coated with sacrificial coatings to prevent oxidation of the base material. It is important to consider that the system may need to be cleaned to gain the best possible life expectancy from the materials in some environments.
