That’s right, it’s Monkeytoe, with all the good sorts in tow, stronger than ever, and here to help out with your access projects in 2024.
We hope you all managed to enjoy the season with the right people and made the most of it. With a stunning few weeks of holiday under our belts, we got back to the office ASAP.
Speaking of which, we’ve had a busy few months. There’s been lots of internal movement going on, with some massive projects and construction going with the good weather, our bridge division getting some serious (and pretty exciting) traction, and lots of wholesale work across both Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia. We’ve been involved in a few flagship projects lately, including the expansion of the Auckland International Airport and the Te Kaha Stadium in Otautahi, Christchurch, and three huge data centre expansion projects with Naylor Love and Waide Construction.
And we’re really glad you’re part of it.

Project: Manukau Health Park
An impressive recent project with Coordinated Homes and Cassidy Construction – the stunning Forest Glen Apartments in Orewa/Silverdale, Auckland.
Construction work at Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand’s $316m Manukau Health Park redevelopment started in February 2023, led by contractors Built Environs and championed by our own Senior Project Consultant Toby Broomhall. Over the last 12 months, the redevelopment has been in full swing, designed to provide the community with better access to high quality health care. It’s a major project for us at Monkeytoe across 2024 too, so stay tuned for updates!
Project Northcote: College Block
Founded in 1877, Northcote College is the oldest secondary school on the North Shore. With growing enrollment and student needs, it was time to add a new technology building to the campus. Ignite designed and led the project, working with great contractors from the region including Naylor Love – and of course, Monkeytoe for a range of long-lasting access components.

Giving back
What better way to sign off a year than by giving back! The Christmas season can be full of anxiety, especially if you’re not secure in food or finances – so we made a contribution to the Hawera Food Bank in support of local families to help take off a bit of pressure. Give some thought to supporting good causes this year, and if you catch Monkeytoe helping out, make sure to say hi!
