Hospitals aren’t the austere, forbidding buildings they used to be. Middlemore Hospital’s new Harley Gray Building is a modern and inviting facility with zoned patient areas. Designed by specialised environments architects Klein, it includes an operating suite, an assessment unit, a post-anaesthetic care unit, and non-clinical support, such as the hospital kitchen and spiritual centre.

Of course, safety in a hospital is paramount, so we designed and installed walkways and handrails for safe roof access. Monkeytoe’s non-penetrating, raised walkway is designed specifically to protect the roof from damage. The walkway is capable of taking a high volume of traffic, ensuring excellent and secure access for building maintenance.
