In the case where the diaphragm is absent or inadequate, the lateral load transfer can be achieved through axial tension/compression actions of the purlin in the along direction and through out of plane bending and shear in the across direction.

At Monkeytoe we regularly provide custom designs for stairs, this is vital to keep the steps all at an even height. Because the steps must be even to prevent embarrassing faceplants(provide link) a small height change of 20 mm will mean a different stair design this means a site measure should always be done before final design and manufacture.

Our consultants can provide you with 3D models and drawings of our standard stair systems for most applications with single flights, these can normally be provided the same day.
