Monkeytoe was approached by OMV Petrochemical to design an access solution spanning between a floating maintenance vessel and the fixed drilling rig platform, providing safe access for personnel to the Maui B Platform off-shore in Taranaki.
The solution Monkeytoe has designed and engineered spans 21m in length, 2500mm in height, and 1600mm in width. Being out in the ocean, OMV required a solution that was not only compliant and safe but would also provide longevity. Our bridge is manufactured from Marine-Grade Aluminium, and being corrosion resistant, this was the perfect solution for a marine environment.
