PROJECT OVERVIEW
Woolworths (previously Countdown), Dunedin, is a supermarket located in Central Dunedin. The contractor reached out to the Monkeytoe (formerly Alta Safety) team as the existing height safety systems were outdated and no longer fit for purpose with ever-changing regulations and safety standards.
Our Solution
Monkeytoe (formerly Alta Safety) first removed and disposed of over 330m of existing walkway systems, which were a mixture of types and materials. After that, we installed our custom-designed solution, which consisted of a range of safety walkways, skylight protectors and guardrails. Part of our new design eliminated existing blind spots where there was a higher risk and severity of fall.
Our current solution meets the required ASNZS safety standards and ensures that people can be safe while at height when using the installed systems correctly.
